Brand case study

The Brief
Vibrant Nation came to Ddraig Studio with a business that had outgrown their identity. The old mark a sharp, angular wordmark in a singular red.
It no longer reflected the energy and ambition of the brand. We were asked to design a new visual identity that felt more dynamic, more distinctive, and ready to carry the business across everything from digital platforms to printed collateral.
The Approach
We started with the letterforms. Rather than a straightforward wordmark, we developed a ribboned "VN" monogram the V and N interlocking in a single continuous sweep of red, creating a mark that feels both modern and energetic. It works as a standalone brandmark as easily as it sits alongside the full "Vibrant Nation" logotype.
Colour was essential to the rebrand. We built a palette around a gradient red, a bright red, and a deeper crimson, balanced with charcoal grey, silver grey, and off-white giving the brand warmth and confidence without losing versatility across light and dark backgrounds.
For typography, we selected Babylon for bold headline copy and Dienstag Light for supporting text giving the brand a clean, contemporary voice. Because Vibrant Nation manages much of its own day-to-day content in Canva, we also specified Montserrat as an accessible suitable font geometric and modern enough to sit comfortably alongside the primary typefaces, while being easy for the in-house team to use reliably.
Bringing It to Life
The new identity was rolled out across a full suite of brand assets: business cards, notebooks, water bottles, and branded apparel, alongside guidance for the mark on inverted, dark, and single-colour applications. Every touchpoint carries the same confident, unified look from a CEO's business card through to everyday branded merchandise.
The Result
Vibrant Nation now has an identity that works as hard as the business does flexible enough for internal use, distinctive enough to stand out, and built on a system the team can apply consistently without a design background.
